The dealer installed option being talked about here is still not a true live PTO. It's a driveline clutch found behind the transmission. It would allow yo to stop/start travel without stopping the PTO but it still doesn't allow you to shift gears without stopping the PTO. 'Twas a step ahead, but not live PTO and certainly not Independant PTO which is the norm today. The 660/860 were the first Fords with true Live PTO. The 671/81 and 871/81 were the first Fords with independant PTO and the 5000 was the first that had a GOOD independant PTO...
