First learned to ride a British Matchless Motorcycle with the shifter on right and foot brake on left and then later had a Honda with them on opposite sides. Lucky it was 15 or 20 years between them. I also once drove a FreightLiner for a couple of weeks that had a 9 sp tranny that had the top 2 gears switched. You shifted it in an O instead of a H, interesting indeed both upshifting and downshifting.
