RRlund: Let me help you out please. Ford still has the plugs, and I would suggest getting them either from Ford, or find Beru plugs. Lot of people have had big problems with aftermarket plugs (including me...) Some of the worst ones swell up when they go bad and cause a lot of drama when yo try to get them out...
If it is still hard starting, how is your cranking speed? To get mine fixed, I ended up putting in 2 new batteries, a rebuilt starter, and new battery cables. The battery cables I bought were aftermarket and were twice as heavy as the OEM ones.
My trucks starts like new now and its 20 years old and has 140k plus on it! Last weekend it was 20 degrees out. The GP's stayed on 13 seconds, and the truck cranked over in under half a second.
It cost me a lot of money, but the truck starts like new now.
