I received the cap on Thursday and had it installed on my buddy's car with hours. It worked perfectly.
For those of you that did not follow, we did a brake job on a 89 Ford Festiva that my buddy drives to work. After all the toil with the stuck sliders on the calipers and the frozen emergency brake levers on the rear, we finally got it back together. My friend dropped the hood without putting the cap back on the master cylinder and took it for a drive. The lid was nowhere to be found. I posted on the board after an exhaustive parts search and got an answer from Brad. An email and a phone call later and he dropped the lid in the mail and I dropped a check in the mail. He only wanted the shipping covered and the lid was free. 40 hours later I had a lid. I hope he received the check in good order.
I am late in posting this as I wanted to take a pic of the cap in its new home, but schedules, boiler outages, and poor quality fuel at work prevented that.
Rest assured that there is a grizzly faced, barrel chested fella in the hills of WV that was awfully happy to see that little piece of plastic.
