Well we have pretty much decided to let the Old 1066 set till summer when we can equipment in and do the job without destroying 10 acres of prime Hay.
Thanks for all the suggestions one thing we may wind up doing is rebuilding the starter I took it apart and cleaned the commutator and the points on the solenoid but you can only do so much with emery cloth. I was able to turn the points on the solenoid to get new metal but the ring was pretty much shot so i cleaned it up as best I could. Now I think it may need to go the shop to be rebuilt. Walt
