My son is also allegic to milk and milk products ie; ice creame will give him a ear infection that will make him crawl on the floor for a couple weeks as he won't have any type of balance.
A ENT Doc in CG was going to gut his ear at 12yo but then my wife seen a PBS show on how kids with cronic ear infections should not use any milk products. We emptyed the refer that night of anything made with milk and 6mths latter he was infection free.
Two years latter he tried a bowl of ice creame and right back down to crawling on the carpet. He's in his 30's now and still can't eat ice creame.
