The B sounds like a great start. They aren't too complicated and are easy to find parts for. If the price isn't too bad and you loose interest, you won't be out too much money. They can be a pretty handly little machine to have around, I have seen them fitted with snowplows and belly mowers. It won't be as handy as your Kubota, but having a second machine will be pretty nice.
I'm a John Deere guy myself, but my first tractor was a Case DO, becuase the opportunity was there. Incidentally, my second and third tractors are also Case D series tractors, because I have grown to like them and they are more affordable than the green ones. You may find the same thing with the Allis.
