I did some research. The number of 4020's built from 1969 to the end of production in 72 was 55,851. Pre 1969 prduction was 129,906. I looked it up to make sure. It was in the last two cylinder magazine. They break it down farther there were 53,792 row crop diesel 4020's built 69-72. I have no idea what the percentage of them were powershift and they dont know either. I would guess around here that maybe 30 or 40% of the 4020's are power shift and it seems like the later ones even more so. That could easily be a regional thing with a couple of dealers really pumping them out. Hard to tell and we may never know for sure. There were a couple of things in this article that caught my eye. From 69-72 they built 836 LP gas tractors and 842 gasoline tractors. Do the math on that 55,851 total and less than 850 of either of those. Im thinking those tractors may have some value someday. If we knew the powershift numbers just think how few of those gas and lp tractors were powershift. It is interesting to try to figure out what the next hot thing will be. bill
