I tried to sell stuff locally last year and got tired of paying for ads and no one would even call or if you got a call you can't get them to come and make an offer. This was some bigger items and I thought ebay may not work because of the high gas prices. Well I ended up putting them on ebay and most brought around what I wanted and one brought alot more. Fees were high , but cheaper than I'd of ended up with for multiple newspaper ads. Real funny thing was one mower Dad had tried to sell with ads and even setting out front of his house ended up having a guy 4 miles down the road who looked at it but never called to talk to us ended up seeing it on ebay and then finally called and came and bought it before it ended.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
