The Snopes response posted by MarkB covers it pretty well. This is more of a trivia test of whether the students can remember the lessons they were just taught. But those lessons were pretty narrow minded. Only one mention of countries outside the US (and that's Europe, the rest of the world apparently didn't exist then). No mention of any mathematics (eight graders today are already studying algebra), no biology, chemistry, or physics. Not even any mention of our system of government! And none of the questions involve any analytical thinking, just a listing of facts.
