Even though Snopes.com says it is fake I do think the system is lacking. Handwriting is a good example, most is terrible these days including mine. I have some notes my Great Great Aunt took in High school about 1895-1897 at Broad Ripple High School in Indianapolis, the very same high school David Letterman went to. The school was only a few years old then and only had 5-6 students in the senior class. I would seriously doubt a college senior nowdays could answer some of the questions she had written down and answered. She was very intelligent and became a nurse but if times were different, I am sure she would have been a Doctor.
