MY mothers first cousin is dead and gone now but his job at Excide in Manchester Iowa was to drive the forklift with the correct stencils in the tub.
I was at a funeral yesterday and visited one of my kin folk that works there he said pretty much the same thing. JD batteries are made there, farm fleet and alot more.
Another friend that used to work there redid the new batteries that failed after a very short time. I found this pretty interesting that the very first proceedure was to actualy drop the battery flat on the work bench. This jared any small chunks of lead that had laid across the plates, thus setteling them to the bottom.
Kin folk said JD can afford to stand behind their batteries because they cost double in the first place.
I had a JD 112 lawn mower that after eleven years I decided to replace the interstate battery just because it was to old. Often times wish I would have just seen how long it could have lasted.
