I have an IT service manual but it hasn't been much help. I'm sure I can figure out the spool that is stuck. I will check into that. Would the lift cover be one of the covers under the cab? Is there a way to test it (a test port) prior to taking it off? What do you mean by drag in the clutch? I know about the manual shut off in the back and it does shut it off. The pto does spin when on but I haven't checked to see if in turns under a load because I don't have any equipment that takes a 1000 rpm hook up. I did try to turn it off on the dash and stop it by wedging a 2x4 against the shaft. When baling I need to be able to stop the pto in the cab. Does the pto always turn and by that I mean even when you shut it off on the dash? Do these tractors have a pto clutch break?
