I know differnt strokes for diffrent folks here,,,
I have one hay field I cut that is about 8 acres, 10 miles away. The best way I have found to get the job done is put a few tools and a cooler on the tractor and go cut it. When I am about done I call some one or get some one close to take me home. Pull the rake over with the truck a few days later. (yes this is where a pull type rake comes in handy) Rake it and take truck and rake home. Come back the next day with the baler behind the truck and hay forks on the back. Bale and move the hay out of the field, take tractor and disk mower home, and get some one to take me back for the truck, baler, and forks. I can't haul every thing at once and never felt like haul'n a tractor was that much of a time and tire save'n thing. If you are going to haul your stuff be sure to have every thing chained down tight.
