1948 Allis B, now sitting in my barn restored. Dad traded a 1938 B for it and a new mower & plow with $675 boot. The one row cultivator made 20 acres of corn look like 200. My first drive was pulling the feed & water wagon to feed our 2000 chickens on pasture. Ran over a few water pails and feed troughs before I realized the wagon wsa wider than the tractor. I did help Dad become a much better tinsmith, though. Also ran over the dogs tail one time too. Paul

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
