Whilw attempting to start my IH 684 as usual with either there was a moderately loud "snap" which sounded like something electrical in the vicinity of the starter. I later found the starter end cap snaped off, and the starter seems to only have about a third the power, not enough to crank the tractor. I opened the starter, cleaned the armature brush area (one brush is just about gone). Replaced battery and cables, still not enough power to start tractor. Does anyone have any ideas or know of a replacement for the Lucas M-50? Thanks much Cal
