Allright, im still here, LOL.
The Carb is still soaking, and i got a can of paint stripper since im told it works as good as carb clenaer. The carb is still soaking in the cleaner i got a few days ago, but its gonna take a while. I can only do half of either the top or bottom half of the carb at a time, and each takes 3-4 days since the stuff isnt very powerful. I also got more primer and Allis Chalmers Orange for it. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, i couldnt resist :-) The TSC people sold my mom the wrong carb kit (had her pick it up on her way home from work) and they diddnt have the right one in stock, so i'll have to call them Monday with the number and they'll order it, then it'll be in in 10 days. The good news is the carb should be well clenaed by then, LOL.
I also got Green vinyl for the seat (close enough) i kinda like the color, and they had limited options anyway. I also picked up a couple bags of cotton "stuffing" since they diddnt have the foam stuff, so im assuming i'll have to put that in bags in the seat in case water gets in there. When it warms up (its 20 or so now) i'll start painting. Anyone have any advice on the seat?? The engine is soaking in PB right now, and it sorta budged!!!!!

The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
