Wood is a four heat source, once cutting, once splitting, once stacking, once loading :) plus you get to go out in the cold each night to load the unit. If I was going to install a outdoor burner, I'd atleast want a all nighter sized box with a indoor damper control rod.
Depending on how the rooms are laid out, some times a return fan system works better than a supply fan system.
