Been close to 30 years since I had one of those lemons,but as I recall,the power steering ran off the main hydraulic pump. It's been cold down there too hasn't it? Maybe some moisture froze up in the hydramotor or main filter.Otherwise,the hydramotor or steering unit could be going bad. I'm just drawing a blank on those. If they're like the Oliver,there's a priority valve that sends the oil to the steering first. Could be something sticking that.
