Hoss, hate to break your bubble, but just because its a tractor forum doesn't mean there aren't any ladies present although there doesn't seem to be very many of us. I'm not single, though. Goin on 20 yrs with my beloved hubby, James. We've only been working the farm a few years, so mostly we read and learn. James does post occasionally. My dad's JD 48 A got us started. He'd been gone two years, we were needing a tractor and his was sitting at a friend's place. Only problem was, it was over 900 miles away. We drove over 1800 miles in a 1965 1/2 ton Chevy with a 16 ft flat bed trailer from Dallas to Gosport, Indiana and back to Dallas to fetch that tractor. God was watching out for us on that trip. That 48 A has been my darlin' ever since. We have added 3 JD B's, two more A's and a 55 JD 70 Diesel. We both drive the tractors and work our farm. I much prefer doing farm work with one of the tractors to laundry, dishes, etc. Our favorite pastime is to crank up two of the tractors and take a drive around our farm in the evening. Sometimes if we have enough daylight left when we get back, we'll crank up two more of the JD's and do it again.

The farm and the Allis were sold and I have spent a lifetime working on farms throughout the country. I promised myself that one day I would own an Allis. That time event
