Do you have a 3/4" deep socket? A pipe nipple will do the same thing. If you do set it over the valve end down on the spring and hit the socket a coupla times with a hammer. Try not to loose the keepers but if you do its no big deal. put the keepers, springs, and all the spring retainers in a coffee can. Tap the valves out. (TAP NOT HAMMER) Oil them up good and if they get tight turn the head over and tap them back and forth with oil added as needed. Then get some good pictures of the seats once the valves are out. One picture of each of the four cylinders. Full of rust makes it sound like you have a good or bad chance that the seats are pitted on at least two valves. Hope not but still no big deal if they are. Once you have the valves out and the rust cleaned off the stems and out of the guides you can see if you need new guides. If they are bad I will get a set on order. I am sure you won't find any cracks in the head. That head is one of the strongest heads ever made.
