Could be true. Dad has a Duramax with the Allison transmission. That old gal will get up and haul. But there are folks out there that will say that the Duramax is junk also. I imagine that the worst problems were in the first couple years that these engines came out. Same with Dodge's auto transmissions. Like other's have said before, sure would be nice to have the choice of a Cummins married up to the Allison. The Duramax must be working out fairly well for those who have them as I have found very few used units. Hopefully most of the bugs have been worked out of the 6.0. Guess time will tell.
