Heres what I did to my '61 Ford 2000 when I needed to fix the small steel oil line: went to my local garage/parts store and purchased a small piece of steel brake line/tubing (you should use steel because copper is toooo soft) along with two compression unions(one for each end of the splice) and assembeld it... works great and I don't have to worry about plastic problems. An entire line can be purchased and fabricated but you will have to flare and connect accordingly. Hope this helps.
