When I worked in a farm equipment shop as an apprentice we had a 3/4 ton flatbed that we had to air up one tire about every 2 weeks. One day the foreman told me to fix the leak and I took the tube out and could not find a leak. I knew that if I did not go to parts and get a patch thee foreman would think that I did not try to fix it. I got a hot patch and just put it on the tube at random. No more leaks! Possibly valve core??? Surely we would have checked that. Been over 40 years ago No such magic since
