Old crop Durum wheat is bringing $19-20.00 per bushel at Minneapolis but the rest isnt. This is up in the spring wheat growing areas.
Current price around here is $11.00 for hard red winter wheat and $10.00 for soft red winter wheat. No one has any as alot got froze out in early April 2007.
My soft wheat made 18 bpa and I had it contracted for $3.75.It was $5.25 the day I delivered.I couldnt fill the contract so had to write the elevator a check for $1.50 per bu for what I couldnt deliver.
Grain prices are crazy right now and very few saw it coming.I delivered forward contracted beans to the elevator in Oct for $6.25.The week I deliverd them they were $8.50.Now they are around $12.50.
