I have driven several of these in the course of my work. My personal preference leans toward full-size pickups, but the Colorado is a good choice for a small truck. I've probably put close to 20K miles on various models of the Colorado and Canyon with no problems. I've always driven the five cylinder version with either the five-speed or automatic trans. I don't care for the crew cab version as the bed is too small to be useful and you can't see the back of the bed from the front seat.
Do not buy one of these without remote door locks! There is no key lock on the passenger's side and you will go nuts walking around to the driver's side everytime you want to unlock the passenger door.
