I watched the clips with interest several times and didn't see any real evidence of sick animals. I did see down animals that weigh over 1000 pounds. If you haul big animals one in a while one will go down and if down for any length of time during the trip will be afraid to get back up. That does not make them sick. That does not make ever thing you see in the clip the proper way to get them up. I would doubt that any of them was actually sick. It would be easy to watch animals of all sizes being loaded and unloaded over a period of time and get clips out of context that would make you feel that something was happening that was not. I would want those clips along with a vet report to call them sick.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
