Gas is a bargain at $3 dollars a gallon. People don't realize what it takes to get a gallon of gas to the pump. If we didn't get so used to spending every cent we make on useless consumer products all the time we would have plenty of money for gas. Look at all the crap people are so used to having because of all the extra income they have had over the years. Motor homes, quads, snowmobiles, suv's, 4wd pickups, cell phones, 3000 square foot houses, airplane trips. We are using our resources at a rate 10 times faster than we need to. Jet planes are using 3500 gallons of jet fuel per hour to fly people around on a whim. Think about it. I will always have enough money for the expensive gas. All I have to do is cut some of the frivelous crap out of my life once a year and Bingo, I have gas money. One less atv in the garage will buy a ton of gas. Think of all the horrible interest most people are paying out every month to have a house that is huge. People pay a $1500 dollar a month house payment and $1400 of it is interest. Its not the gas that is expensive. People have lost their minds with spending.
