A lot better ride "comfort"than a 1086.Better shifter than the IH also.8 speed with Dual Power transmisson is good. The 4440 Deere has as good or maybe better ride and a better tranny and hydraulics. The TW 20 is a fine tractor if it has been serviced and treated right. The engine is 401 cid and turbo charged.Rated 135 from the factory, some were a few horses more. They do not like having the fuel turned up.Fuel economy and engine life both suffer. They had a good cab,ac,heat and sound system.PTO clutchpack can give problems if worked hard and long.Same thing true of the dual power clutchpack.Good vision from the cab all the around the tractor. Many were sold in my area and i service and have worked on several. As i said they are good tractors if they have been taken care of and trouble if they have not been. But i thing to remember,a Ford is not a John Deere so,if you are expecting John Deere performance then buy a John Deere. If not then the Ford will serve well.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
