You might do something that shows the cost of buying vegetables at the store vs. cost and fun of raising your own. Plus, nutritional value of home grown is higher, not to mention the better flavor. Also, how some veggies can be planted in flowerbeds and perform a dual role as a food producer and decoration. You might also mention using certain plants with a strong aroma/taste (garlic) in and around flowerbeds and gardens can deter bugs.
