[quote="Dan-IA"](quoted from post at 22:32:32 02/29/08) I blew a brake line on a date with an ex-classmate from school. still put 80 miles on the car with no brakes, but I didn't win any speed records that night.
Been there, not much fun is it. I was on a date in the 91 thunderbird i used to own. Just finished dinner and she wanted to go to the beach. Came over a dark rise in the road (2 lane highway) and there in the middle of the lane was...a bike rack. Ya know like the kind you can strap on the back of your car. Managed to get over a bit but still flattened it with the drivers side. Brakes went all soft and mushy :( Luckily i was only about 2 miles from home so i just took the next back road there. It's pretty darned embarrassing to have your dates father have to come pick her up. Tore the line going to the rear axle right off just behind the front wheel. Fortunately it also kind of crunched it closed so i didn't lose all brakes.
