The problem with doing it that way, if you use the tractor for cultivating for example, you get to the end of the rows, and want to lift or lower the cultivator at the same time you are turning - only one option will work, so you end up not getting what you need. Priority valves & such can help, but you put more & more money into it, and still is only a 3/4 good solution. Might want to hunt around for a belt driven pump and see how that prices out for you - will be better if you can afford it.
Have one on my Super 77, works well. Need to move the voltage regulator and get a bracket in by the pulleys to hold the pump.
