Congratulations! Nothing handier around the shop than an air compressor. However, SAFETY FIRST always. Never operate anything powered by compressed air without wearing safety glasses. Make sure your blo-gun limits the nozzle psi to reduce the chance of injury from flying debris (the nozzle tip will have holes or slots drilled in the side of the tip). Many years ago I had a small piece of metal stick in my eye-long scary time with only being able to see with one eye. Also consider a good pair of mechanics gloves-I hated wearing them when my company started requiring them, but after a while they become second nature, and they sure do cut down on cuts and burns on your hands.
