I have a Z71 that I haul my R JD behind. I use a 24' tandam axel trailer with a 14,000 pound capacity. Truck pulls it well on flat ground and small hills and with electric brakes, will stop OK. HOWEVER when I trade trucks, I will get a heaver truck. It can get scary on hilly ground. My choice is: the bigger the truck, the better. I like goosenecks although I do have a small (6000# Cap.) bumper hitch that for short hauls and small tractors can't be beat. It is so much lower and easier to load. What ever you do, don't overload the truck or trailer. This makes for unsafe conditions. And keep the speed down. Moye
