I remember one year when I was working for a dairy farmer in East KS. We walked out on this field to a known wet spot and stuck a 12 inch rod down and it came out dry. Boss said go on across it shouldn't be a problem. I was disking with a White 4-150 and got about to middle of this spot and it was like the ground opened up. I berried that White to the axles in about 30 seconds. It took a 1066 IH, a Ford 6000, and a small JD Dozer to get it out, then we had to get the disk out. Worst I ever got one stuck in my life. Wish I had pictures of it now.
