In high school I was working for a neighbor with a not-too-bright son. The boy was in some sandy soil near a highway with the 806 and plow, and sunk it to the axles. We tried the 4020 and 3020 together, wouldn't budge. Then we called the local Chevy dealer to bring out the wrecker. He chocked it up on the shoulder of the highway and started winching. Of course, the front end just came up, so he said tie it down with the 3020. He let her rip again, and bent the wrecker frame about 2 feet up right behind the cab! About the funniest thing I'd ever seen. There was a carrier bearing near the bend, so the driveshaft was ok, and off he drove to town. What a sight. We then called out the big (expensive) semi wrecker from the next town, and he got it right out. The Chevy dealer cut and plated the frame on the little wrecker, and used it for years after. Turned in to a rather costly episode.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
