My dad told me this story. When he was a kid his dad sent him to help a neighbor combine wheat. Dad was on a Super 55 Oliver with an AC combine. The neighbor's son was out there with a Farmall M and some type of combine (I forget). He made fun of Dad and the little Super 55. It was wet. Let's just say he wasn't laughing when he was stuck in the mud with that heavy M and Dad drove around him with the little 55 and kept on going.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
