To day I went to get a homeowners policy, from a very well established company.State farm. They said they could'nt insure my, hobby type woodshop unless I take my sealed style, sears wood-coal burner out of shop, and yet I would be allowed to put a gas furnace in it's place,[I just can't use wood-coal as primary heating source.] Now as I said the stove I have in there now is a sealed system, and that would be insurable. If my intelligence serves me right a gas furnace has an open flame when the burner comes on. My question to them was, which type of system would be safer around saw dust?.After a little hem-hawing, [no real awnser.]I have a policy but have to take out my stove,P.S. I told them I only use the stove maybe 3 times a mo.I guess I was dealing with a bunch of rocks.
