Parts,Parts Parts, and service--Look at what everybody is using in your part of the world,If you don't see IH alot keep looking personaly I never liked them ,Thats not to say their no good.alot of guys like them,just look around you!! Look for leakes on the BH packings,move the hoe up-down etc.and check for loose and worn pins and bushings, and the thing I look for most is LOOK to see how much welding has been done on the whole unit---welds mean hard and abussive use--now all this said,you need to check out the tractor functions--motor-trans-brakes-etc. Look over the front loader bucket cutting edge-not cheap to replace, compare this unit pricewise to a "Case"- "JD"-"Ford"--And last let it warm up good to do all your testing --don't do it cold for just two minutes, If I can help let me know
