It all depends what you are going to do with it. I know of a couple of people who have them and are in the dirt moving business. They use them for light digging and trenching. For the heavy digging (when not using an excav.) they go with

Most of the contractors are starting to stay away from the Case's lately due to their brake problems.

Personally I have a 755B that I would not trade for the world. Whatever you look at make sure parts are locally available. Take a real good look at the swing pins and cylinders as well as the buckets. A lot of wear means the machine might be getting tired. Let everything get cood and warm and check for leaks/noise, Check the hydro. pressure, try to pull it with just the back bucket.

It is better to get a solid running/operating machine than one with a fresh coat of paint.
