Here in the UK, Fuel prices seem to vary by area and company. Where I am, Shell is (just) cheaper than Esso, but go into London or any motorway service areas and the price goes through the roof. Locally, I am paying $7.68 for a US gallon of unleaded and $7.89 for diesel. Our beloved government has also promised another tax hike in October of 19c per US gallon, graciously postponed from April. We seem to pay through the nose for everything over here - I travel the world for my job and cant help comparing prices. Just about everything in the States is about half of what we pay here - clothing, food, tools, you name it! I could quite happily emigrate; I reckon you guys have a better standard of life and living, There's nothing left in this place to stay for. Even tractors and spares are cheaper! I have bought spare parts in the states and had them shipped over. Still works out less than the amount they want to charge over here!
That feels better! Rant over. Just wanted to get it off my chest! Regards, Chris.

On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
