I am trying to figure out the best way to add hydraulics to a tractor that does not currently have hydraulic capabilities. Hydraulics are needed to raise/lower a mower conditioner. Tractors are a 1943 Case SC and a 1949 M/M model U, both 6 volt, draw bar hitch. I have investigated PTO pumps, and 12 volt hydraulic power units. I believe there are front end pulley-run pumps available, but not sure as to the success of this design. Any ideas?
