Unplug the wires going to the top cover where the shifters are..Unbolt the cover and pick it straight up..Is the end of the shifter broken/worn off ?? or the pivot pin in the cover worn out or broken off ?? Maybe a problem with the shifter fork inside the transmission.. When you set the cover back on , line up the pin sticking down with the neutral start pocket and the shifters with their respective engagement places...
