Ok guys I think I have a major problem. My 94 GMC 4.3 single cab automatic has been getting some terrible gas mileage (i think). I have never trusted the fuel gage since I got it 2 months ago. But I have always thought that something is wrong. So I decided to check, I had 1/2 a tank exactly on the gauge drove it until it is about a hair I mean a hairs hair over the 1/4 mark, and got about 70 miles. Another thing is the book says I got a 36 gallon tank and the guy I got it from said it was about a 24 or 25 gallon one. So even if I have a 24 gallon tank that is about 11 mile to the gallon a 36 gallon tank it is about 8 mile to the gallon, my buddy says give it a tune up & make sure it is shifting into overdrive. I dont think a tune up is it. How I drive..40-55 mph never constant speed for more than 5 miles mostly rural roads but a few back roads. What do you think, I am very mechanically knowledgeable but.......thanks I think I asked something similar to this earlier but now I think something is wrong, the truck does run a drive real good but anything to check??

If it would just start when I turn the key, then I would use it more often. In addition to a bad case of old age, most of the tractor's original electrical system was simply too unreliable to keep. The main focus of this page is to show how I upgr
