A high school not far from here, in central New York State, had a "drive your tractor to school day" until perhaps four or five years ago when the board president's son was killed in an accident on his way to school with their Ford "N". It was reported that the young man had taken the tractor out of gear to coast down a hill and lost control near the bottom, going into the ditch and overturning. Other students riding in a trailer being pull by the tractor were also injured. It can be a great activity, but DRIVE SAFELY, please. Tom
