Our diesel equipment gets Rotella 15w-40. My personal vehicles... '95 Chevy w/ 5.7L, '96 Chevy w/ 6.5L, and '02 GMC Denali w/6.0L all run Amsoil synthetics. The oil in the gassers are capable and guaranteed to go 35K between oil changes for highway driving and I think 17,500 for typical driving, filter upto 25K! The diesel is good for 25k or 12,500. Expensive but worth it. Less oil changes which in the end it actually costs less. And I get 1/2-1 1/2 mpg better in the gassers depending on the driving situation. Get 1-2 mpg better in the diesel and when loaded fully it only drops 2-2 1/2 mpg as opposed to 3-4 mpg.
