Does this have an inline or rotary pump on it? If it has a rotory the pilot tube in which the driveshaft seals ride may be worn out. I don't believe the inline pumps were mounted up to the engine so any fuel would drain into the crankcase. Also is the engine missing when it's running? If so you might have a nozzle stuck open, letting raw fuel down into the crankcase.
