Got a haul once off our very own Hauling Board on this site- guy wanted a Farmall H hauled from SW Washington to NE Washington- about 350 miles, and he offered $1.30 a loaded mile (this was several years ago). Only catch was, had to be done IMMEDIATELY. Called him, turned out he lived about 5 miles from me. He worked for the Forest Service, got transferred, house had sold quicker than he expected to a couple that had to move in that coming weekend. I was planning a trip through that area about a month hence, and he wasn't in a hurry to get the tractor delivered, just to get it off his old place. I took it home, delivered at the appointed time, the haul fee paid for all of my fuel to Montana and back, and everybody was happy. He put my name and number on his bulletin board, and said he would be moving back to "God's country" someday, and would call me to haul "grandpa's H" when he did.

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
