Sounds like the fuel pressure doesn't hold.A borrowed fuel pressure guage capable of reading at least 60 psi will lead you in the right direction.If a 4.3 v-6,fuel pressure needs to hold for a fair amount of time after shut down.Engine won't start with anything 50 psi or under.Running pressure should be 55-60 psi
