He also designed the 500 series of Cockshutts. They won an industiral engineering prize when they were introduced. Some debate however as to whether the roundnose ones are more beautiful than the square 500 series. The roundnose ones were designed by an architech who did not have international standing like Loewy. I believe. Loewy sure did a nice job on the 53 Studebaker. The actual design was done by Bob Bourke, who worked for the loewy agency.
